SANTORINI WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

The island of Santorini is known as another name Kalliste meaning the Most Beautiful, no doubt referring to the natural beauties of this island. This editorial shoot is inspired by the modern mythology of Santorini and the blue Aegean Sea.

Starting with bridal preparations in the stunning Grace Hotel Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection while her fiancé is in the pool looking out to the magnificent views of Oia, the bride then joins him before she gets ready to marry him. Overlooking the volcanoes and the Aegean Sea they feel like they are on top of the world with their excitement of becoming husband and wife.

A small wedding elopement takes place on the terrace of the hotel surrounded by stunning white Calla Lillie’s, blue hydrangeas and white roses which are spread across this intimate wedding table scape. Nestled in between are Greek handmade pots labelled with the Bride and Groom place settings, mixed with natural materials that would be found on this island including marble place settings and glass vases.

During golden hour the couple are relaxed on the terrace surrounded by candles and flowers reminiscing of their wedding vows and then they go off for an adventure down to the volcano with some epic views of the island, dancing in the golden sunlight where the light is reflecting off the bride’s Grecian goddess gown and the Aegean shore.

A sunrise engagement photography shoot in Oia is the perfect time to capture the ancient town with crisp white walls and the iconic blue domes. Dancing on the rooftops and laughing in the streets, it felt like we had the whole town to ourselves. Watching the sun change the colour of the town and bring it to life to start the new day as husband and wife before jumping in the sea for a morning dip.

This wedding elopement photography shoot is an epitome of the attention to detail that Valentina of The Stars Inside created, every detail reflected the theme of modern mythology including the dramatic cake by The Cakers, the stationary by Paige & Co with gold detailing and ocean references which ran throughout this shoot. Shot on both film and digital the light was golden, rich and dreamlike feeling like the Greek Gods blessed shining down on us.
