1950’s ITALIAN THEMED MICRO WEDDING RICH WITH DIVERSITY & NATURAL BEAUTY AT THE OLD RECTORY ESTATE BLETCHINGLY

The inspiration for this beautiful Italian themed micro wedding was a 1950’s feel and diversity, from the gorgeous models to the amazing team of suppliers, this was achieved.

As more and more couples choose smaller, intimate, weddings with ceremonies that are unique and personalised the ideal venue was found. Set against the backdrop of the stunning Old Rectory Estate that sits amongst the rolling Surrey hills in Bletchingly, on a day when the weather was so glorious it could have been the Florence countryside in July, this Italian themed micro wedding shoot was photographed to perfection.

A long winding driveway leads to an impressive Georgian house painted in subtle yellow, and with eight acres of lush green ornamental gardens (which Victoria Beckham used for a Vogue photo shoot), the colour palette for the shoot was kept very neutral. Pared back make up and classic hair, the style of the full lace – open backed - wedding gown and statement earrings took centre stage.  A splash of vibrant colour was added by a bridal bouquet made up of roses, berries and foliage; a Pamela hat bringing the bride’s entire look together whilst the groom wore a simple linen suit finished off with a black bow tie to complement the black ribbon on the bride’s hat.

Vows are said at the top of a lavender lined aisle where the romantic wedding celebration ceremony takes place from under an arbour. Before rings are exchanged the Celebrant holds them out to guests who are asked to send their love, silent wishes and support for the couple. When the rings are then slipped onto the couple’s fingers they will then hold all the loving hopes, dreams and joy for the future from their loved ones.

Moving around the gardens (lovingly maintained by the owners, including water features, statues, topiary and a rose walk), the photographer was spoilt for choice for pictures. Whether it was the impressive gold topped gates leading to the secret garden or the pergola under which the elegant table was staged. Laden with delicate linens, glassware and crockery - upon which sat calligraphy scribed place cards (inviting guests to sit down to the sumptuous wedding breakfast), the goblets are waiting for champagne to be poured whilst the mouth-watering cake was calling out to be cut by the happy couple. -Blog written by Jennifer Patrice
